Diphthongs:

SH like in sheep we should write it as sheep
ZH like in de ja vue we should write it as de zhaa vu
OW like in mode we should write it as mowd
EI like in mai we should write it as mein
(‘) like in -------   use it as a stop between two non-diphthong vowels.

Repeating a consonant signifies an emphasize that is called “tashdid”.

Persian Vowels:

  Short vowels: a, e, o, ow
Long vowels aa, i, u, ei

Using Liaison:             a “y” is inserted between two independent vowels to make them readable.

“Xaane e man” becomes "Xaane ye man"

Well Pronounced Syllables: Persian words are pronounced with distinguishable syllables.

Let’s try some English words that have been used in Persian in this way:

Telephone should be pronounced like te-le-fon
Telescope should be pronounced like te-les-kop
Computer should be pronounced like kaam-pi-yu-ter
Monitor should be pronounced like maa-ni-tor
Machine should be pronounced like maa-shin

      Length of syllables:

Short syllables = one short vowel + one consonant

Long syllables = one long vowel + any number of consonants attached to that vowel

This distinction becomes very important once we get to Persian verse.
