نامه سرگشاده برای دفاع از کودکان رانندگان اعتصابی

آن گونه که از خبرها برمی آيد، پس از حمله نيروهای انتظامی حکومت ايران به اعتصاب کنندگان شرکت واحد اتوبوس رانی تهران، برخی از کودکان خانواده های اين اعتصاب کنندگان مورد آزار مامورين قرار گرفته و يا بازداشت شده اند.

 از آنجا که در ماده دوم کنوانسيون حقوق کودک که کشور ايران هم آن را امضا کرده است، به صراحت آمده که:

"حکومت ها موظف اند تا اين اطمينان کامل را بوجود آورند که هر کودکی از همه ی اشکال تبعيض و فرق گذاری در امان باشد و به خاطر ابراز عقيده و جهان بينی و فعاليت های والدين يا اقوام خود مجازات نشود."

ما امضا کنندگان زير تفاضا می کنيم که به وضعيت کودکان خانواده های اعتصابيون رسيدگی شود و در صورت مورد تجاوز قرار گرفتن حقوق آنها اقدامات لازم را به عمل آوريد.

Defending the children of Iran's striking bus drivers

News coming out of Iran clearly shows that in the aftermath of the security forces attack on Tehran bus drivers who were on strike, a score of children have been beaten and arrested along with their parents.

The second part of the second article of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, that Iran is a signatory of, clearly declares that “States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to ensure that the child is protected against all forms of discrimination or punishment on the basis of the status, activities, expressed opinions, or beliefs of the child's parents, legal guardians, or family members.”

Accordingly, we, the undersigned, request your prompt action in investigating the case of these children and exerting your utmost pressure on the government of Islamic Republic of Iran to protect these innocent children from further atrocities of the security agents.
